Château Bouscassé is the original home of Alain Brumont. The soil here is clay, limestone and grès, a limestone rock. The vines – made up of 70% Tannat, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc – are 60-85 years old. Tour de Bouscassé comes from the young vines and is 60% Tannat, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc.

Family owned for many generations Château Bouscassé is the original home of Alain Brumont, an outstanding winemaker who also owns the highly regarded Chateau Montus. Alain has been selecting the best terroirs in the commune of Maumusson-Laguian since 1980. It is from these great hillside terroirs perched on the limestone cliffs, made up of a wonderful variety of south-western clays, that Alain produces his exceptional wines.
