Stellenbosch Wine
Stellenbosch has been the centre of South African wine culture for many years and is home to many of the industry’s most prestigious names. Although there are 7 sub regions (known as wards in South Africa) in Stellenbosch most producers tend only to use the Stellenbosch name as it is easily recognisable and drives sales. Many of the wines produced in Stellenbosch are made using blends of grapes inspired by those found in Bordeaux and the Southern Rhone.
