Pfalz Wine
The Pfalz region sits directly north of Alsace in France and many of their wines have a similar style to those produced over the border in France. Like Alsace it has a hot dry climate and focuses on many of the same grapes, including Riesling, the Pinot varieties, Muscat, and Gewurztraminer. Although it was historically seen as a bulk wine region it is now known for its innovative producers and high quality wines.
